Obituary of Jana Louise Lyden

Jana Louise Metcalf Lyden, age 54, of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Jana was born February 7, 1962 in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of Roy and Ruth (Gregory) Metcalf. Jana is survived by her sons, Joshua Lyden and Truman Metcalf, and daughters, Nicole Davenport (Leon) and Ruth Metcalf, all of Lebanon, Missouri; her brothers Eugene Gravot of Palmara, Missouri, Michael Metcalf (Barbara) of Palmara, Missouri, Roy Metcalf of Lebanon, Missouri, and Coy Metcalf of Basstrop, Texas; four grandchildren, Katlin, Madison, Arya, and Tyr; along with several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Ruth Metcalf; and one sister, Gabriel Hamlin. Jana worked most of her life as a cook in several restaurants including Chevy's, Cozy Coney and Casablanca, and the Smoke Shack, where she also managed at one time. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, watching movies and spending time at the river. Her greatest joy in life, were her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored.
