Obituary of Charles Vaughn Willis

Charles Vaughn Willis was born August 6, 1938 at Broads Branch in Macks Creek, MO and passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 in his home in Macks Creek, MO. He was preceded in death by his daughter Connie LaVonne Willis, son Bruce Dale Willis, granddaughter Miranda (Willis) Fulton, parents Edward (Pete) and Edith (Meads) Willis, and brother Frank Willis. He is survived by his wife Roberta (Leap) Willis; two sons, Randy G. Willis and wife Valery of Long Lane, MO; Danny K. Willis and wife Susan of Macks Creek, MO; three grandchildren McKenzie (Willis) Hicks and husband Jon of Long Lane, MO, Holly (Willis) Webster and husband Joe of Macks Creek, MO, Tyler Willis and wife Hallie of Macks Creek, MO; one great-granddaughter Scarlett Webster; three siblings A.J. Willis of Oregon, Don Willis and wife Easter of Macks Creek, MO, Marie (Cyrus) Arnold of Macks Creek, MO and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. He grew up in Macks Creek and after graduating High School married his wife Roberta. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage together. From this union came four children. They raised their two sons on their family farm in Macks Creek. After 30 years he retired from driving a concrete truck. He enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life. He and Roberta also spent a lot of time camping with their family. They also enjoyed traveling across the country with his siblings. He was the happiest when spending time with his family. Vaughn was a Christian and was saved as a young boy at Pleasant Grove Church in Macks Creek, MO. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and will be missed by many.
