Obituary of Carol Ann Derringer
Carol Ann Adams Derringer, age 70, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.
Carol was born July 27, 1946 in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of Charles and Lydia Moubis.
Carol was united in marriage to Steve Derringer in October 2003 on the sandy beaches of Mexico. Carol then enjoyed many trips to Cozumel, Cancun, Isle Mujeres and many other destinations.
Carol was a vivacious woman that spent many years in the restaurant and bar industry. Carol also worked at Zale’s in Osage Beach. Throughout her life she spent time volunteering for hospitals and Habitat for Humanity. Carol attended Columbia College and received an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts in 2002. She had a contagious smile and laughter that will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lydia Stuerwald, father Charles Moubis and brother Richard Moubis.
Carol is survived by her husband Steve Derringer; four children, Michael Carey, Christopher Carey Jennifer Schanuel and Olivia Schanuel; grandchildren, Michael Carey , Ashley Nagy, Kristina Carey and Bonnie Carey; as well as seven great-grandchildren all of Missouri.
Memorial donations are suggested to Habitat for Humanity.
The family will be having a private gathering at a later date.
