Obituary of Frank (Bill) Robinson

Frank (Bill) Robinson, age 79, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016, at his home in Camdenton, Missouri. Bill was born on April 6, 1937 in Lewis, Iowa. He was the son of Frank and Wilma Robinson. Bill graduated from Lewis Consolidated School in 1954. Bill was united in marriage February 16, 1958 in Lewis, Iowa to Joyce N Ebert. They shared 58 years of marriage together at the time of Bill’s death. Bill enlisted in the United States Army in 1955 where he served four years. Bill was a farmer and cattle feeder for 25 years near Lewis, Iowa. Bill and Joyce then moved to Camdenton, Missouri, where they purchased Econo Lift Boat Hoist and have served both local and national customers for 32 years. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren as they grew into adults. He enjoyed traveling, exploring, western history and Nascar. Bill and Joyce even traveled in their motor home to see numerous Nascar races. They also took pleasure in spending their winters in Yuma, Arizona. Bill was a 3rd degree Mason and a 32nd degree member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shriners of Springfield, Missouri. He was Past Master of the Blue Lodge of Lewis, Iowa and also a Past Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star of Lewis, Iowa. Bill was a member of the Camdenton Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge of Laurie, Missouri. He was also a member of Lewis United Congregational-Methodist Church. Bill was very charitable with his time and resources. Bill is survived by his wife, Joyce of Camdenton, Mo, his son, Steve Robinson and wife, Sue, of Camdenton, MO; four grandchildren, Megan Baldridge of Lake Ozark, Zach Robinson of Brayton, Iowa, Kyle Robinson of Camdenton, MO, and Kaitlin Robinson of Sedalia, Missouri; and one great granddaughter, Vivienne Simphaly of Springfield, Missouri. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Wilma Robinson; one sister, Delores Casey, his daughter, Diane Ortwerth, and one grandson, Jordan Frank Robinson. The family has requested any memorial donations be given to the “Idiots Club” of the Lake of the Ozarks. The organization is a 501(c)3 charity that raises money for youth in need in the Lake area. Bills motto was, “Treat people the way you want to be treated.”
