Obituary of Steven Paul Mitchell
Steven Paul Mitchell age 41 of Lake Ozark, MO passed away Monday, October 3, 2016 at Lake Regional Hospital following a hard fought battle of Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer.
Steve was born April 18, 1975 in Oceanside CA. He was united in marriage to Patricia (Zimmerman) Mitchell on January 17, 1998 at Bridal Cave in Camdenton, MO.
Steve is survived by his wife Patty of the home, 2 sons Alexander Mitchell (18) of the United States Navy, Quinn Mitchell (17) of the home, and 1 daughter Gracie Mitchell (12) of the home. His Mother Rebecca Mitchell of Iberia, MO, Grandfather Lonnie Ragain and Great Aunt Georgine Capps of Camdenton, MO. Brother Dwayne Mitchell and girlfriend Tanya Davidson of Syracuse, MO, Uncle Charles Pederson Jr. and wife Cindy of Sunrise Beach, MO. Mother-in-law Irene Zimmerman of Osage Beach, MO. 5 Brothers-In-Law Charles Ammerman and girlfriend Pam Wilson of Owensville, MO, David Zimmerman and wife Fran of Beaufort SC, Mark Zimmerman and wife Bert of Linn, MO, Mike Ammerman of Sunrise Beach, MO, Brian Griffen and wife Lorna of Washington, MO. 3 Sisters-In-Law, Tammy Garth and husband Mike of Mt. Sterling, MO April Otten of St. Peters, MO, and Brenda Baumbach and husband Doug of Owensville, MO. 2 Great Uncles Larrie Ragain and girlfriend Peggy Lord of Twin Falls ID, Bob Ragain and wife Belinda of Camdenton, MO, 2 Great Aunts Wanda Moore and husband Lynn of Cabool, MO and Bonnie Ragain of Houston, MO. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Charles Pederson Sr., Grandmother Earleen Ragain, Father-In-Law Frank Zimmerman and Sister-In-Law Judy Ammerman.
Steve worked at Hulett’s Chevrolet in Camdenton, MO for the last 6 years, prior to that he worked as a truck driver for All About Boats and TMC, he also worked as a stereo surround sound system and home security installer.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his children. He enjoyed hunting, working on vehicles and electronics, building things with his children, RC Car racing, building websites, and many other activities especially watching his children grow and learn.
Steve was very proud of his children and would attend every one of their events possible even during his hard fight with cancer. He encouraged his children to do their very best and succeed. Steve always considered his life with Patty, Alex, Quinn, and Gracie his greatest accomplishment. He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, and friend.
Steve’s dream aside from going to Australia was to watch his children continue their education beyond High School. He was very proud of Alex for joining the Navy and getting his education through the Navy. He was excited about Quinn choosing a career path in Music Education and Gracie in the Fine Arts as well.
