Obituary of George Wendell Carter

George Wendell Carter, age 81, of Roach, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. George was born July 27, 1935 in Climax Springs, Missouri, the son of Clarence C. and Lucienda Athali (Andrews) Carter. George married Judtih Ann Smith October 14, 2008 in Warsaw, Missouri. George worked most of his career as a purchasing agent for the railroad system. After retiring from the railroad, he was involved with construction and building homes. Among his many interests, George loved old cars and enjoyed driving around in his Corvette. He enjoyed the lake and all the beauty it had to offer, however, his greatest joy in life was his family, whom he loved more than anything. George is survived by his wife Judy of the home; his daughters, Sherry Diane Hohenberg and husband Dean, of Independence, Missouri, Cheryl Lyne Warren, of Roach, Missouri, step sons, Dwayne Walters, of Jefferson City, Missouri, Jamie Walters, of Lebanon, Missouri, Ronnie Amador, Ezekiel Amador, Edward Amador, and William Amador all of Kansas City, Missouri; his step daughter, Yolanda Lucas, of Mount Airy, Maryland; nine grandchildren; seventeen step grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and thirty four step great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
