Obituary of Patricia Eleanor Rachau

Patricia (Pat) Eleanor Rachau daughter of Joseph Troxcil and Ethel Madson was born January 21, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. She departed this life on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 74 years, 10 months & 5 days. On June 12, 1960 in Council Bluffs, Iowa she was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Rachau. Together they shared 42 years together until his passing on April 27, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Tina Rachau; two sisters, Joanne and Michealene; one son-in-law, Richard Moore and many other family members & loved ones. She is survived by her children Patrick Rachau and wife Carolyn of San Diego, California, James (Jimbo) Rachau and wife Beth, Diann Moore and Barbara Elson and husband James all of Richland, Missouri; seven grandchildren, one step-granddaughter and many great grandchildren. Pat was a loving devoted wife and helpmate to her husband. She was a caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed her role as homemaker and created many beautiful memories for family and friends to cherish. Her greatest joy was her family and spending as much time as she could with them. She enjoyed cooking while sharing her love and bounty with everyone. She always had an open door and a full plate for family and friends. She will be missed greatly by all those that knew & loved her.
