Obituary of Earl W. Rand, Jr
Earl W. Rand Jr., age 78, of Linn Creek, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2016, after a strong fight against cancer.
Earl was born January 13, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Earl W. and Alice O. Rand.
Earl graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1957. He was united in marriage to Rose M. Pullins on September 26, 1958 in Mission, Kansas. Together they shared 58 1/2 wonderful years of marriage.
Earl worked as a contractor most of his life, except for a short time in the hotel business. At a young age he developed a passion for riding motorcycles and building fast cars. He was a Nidan rank (second degree black belt) in Shotokan karate. He loved playing golf, and rarely lost a bet. He was very thankful for his family and friends; and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Rochelle Schleicher of Merriam, Kansas; four grandchildren, Kyle Schleicher, Karly Schleicher, Andy Curiale, and Kaleigh Davis; and sister Meillyn Kreusser.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; parents Earl and Alice Rand; and his son Craig W. Rand.
