Obituary of Betty J. Rhoads Daniel

Betty Joan Rhoads Daniel peacefully passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016. She was born in Beloit, Kansas on August 13, 1933 to Gilbert and Ethel Rhoads. In her late teen years, she moved to Golden, Colorado and then relocated to Kansas City, Missouri where she met Raymond Daniel. They married in August of 1956. They had two children, Robert and Terri. They moved to Lee's Summit, Missouri in 1966 where they raised their children. Upon moving to Lee's Summit, Betty found employment working in the cafeteria and driving a bus for Pleasant Lea Schools. This allowed her to spend more time with her children. Looking for even more, she became an Avon representative. She worked for the school until 1986 and retired to Lake of the Ozarks (Edwards, MO) with her husband Raymond. Betty continued to sell Avon for many years after their move and made numerous friends in the lake area. Enjoying involvement in her community, she worked at the Toning Center of Warsaw and joined different organizations such as Busy Bee's, TOPS and the GMC Truck Club. She fulfilled her civic duty working with election volunteers during voting times and attending meetings for the United Automobile Workers Union which Raymond retired from. She was at her happiest when she was busy and she did just that. She loved her family and friends and put others needs before hers regularly. She truly was a marvelous woman who was loved and admired by all who had the privilege to know her. She left an undeniable spot in the hearts of those she touched. Betty is preceded in death by her father Gilbert Rhoads and mother Ethel Rhoads, her husband of 52 years, Raymond Daniel; Jack Tanner (Companion of 5 years); her brother, Eugene D. Rhoads; and brother Bobby J. Rhoads. She is survived by her son Robert and his daughter, Bettina; his daughter, Lori, and her family, Rusty and Raymond; his stepson and partner Cody and Anthony; and his stepson and wife Nick and Jessica. She is also survived by her daughter Terri and husband Don, and their son Travis and his family Darcy and Nola and Asa, and their son Casey. She is also survived by her sister, Sadie.
