Obituary of Dorothy H. Luelf
Dorothy H. "Dottie" Luelf, age 69, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 25, 2016.
Dorothy was born March 1, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Thomas and Ethel (Sexton) Tucker.
She was united in marriage March 14, 1992 to Richard Luelf and together they shared over 24 years of marriage.
Dorothy worked for most of her life as a secretary. She was a member of Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach, Missouri, where she was President-Elect of the Methodist Women, and where she ran the video service. She was also a member of PEO of Lake Ozark. Dorothy loved making and giving away her sour dough bread.
Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife and helpmate to her husband, and a caring mother and grandmother to her children, step-children and their families. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are husband, Richard Luelf; son, Alan Luelf and wife, Karen, of Montgomery City, Missouri; daughter, Denetta Ayers and husband, Brian, of Henryville, Indian; daughter, Diane Akridge, of Louisville, Kentucky; step-daughter, Susan Luelf, and husband, Gary Reinhold, of Olathe, Kansas; and step-daughter, Amber O'Hare, and husband Vic of Conroe, Texas; her sisters, Willodean Connely and husband, Phillip, of Fairdale, Kentucky, Linda Davis and husband, Morris, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, Sarah Hughes and husband, Ernie, of Fairdale, Kentucky, and Mary Rosenbaum, of Louisville, Kentucky;
step-granddaughters, Brianna Akridge and Amber Rosales; and step-grandsons, Josh Atkinson, and Justin Atkinson; along with other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Carolyn Tucker.
Services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 11:30 am at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:30-11:30 prior to services at the church.
A lunch reception will follow services at the church.
Memorial donations are suggested to Harper Chapel United Methodist Church Sign Fund, or to Camdenton Optimist Youth Club.
