On June 14, 1992 Jim was united in marriage to Sunny Haley, and they made their home in Osage Beach, Missouri; sharing almost 25 years of marriage. Jim was a 1966 graduate of Lafayette High School in Ballwin, Missouri and "lettered" in golf. He caddied many tournaments in Clayton, Missouri while attending high school and continued to love the sport. Jim became a mechanic and shared his love of fast cars and racing with many friends. Summers would find him "wrenching or driving" at several local tracks. Jim worked for John Vernon Williams, at Williams Motors in Camdenton, Missouri for many years. He later moved to Osage Beach and began working for Mike Smith at Precision Auto and retired after 28 years of loyal service. In his spare time, Jim loved golfing, fishing, camping, helping his family, friends, and neighbors and his afternoon walks with Shine. He enjoyed shooting trap, marksmanship contests and took the time to instruct his sons, the grands, and many nieces and nephews on the importance of gun safety. Jim was a loving husband, father, grampa, brother, uncle, caring neighbor and loyal friend. He had a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor. We will Celebrate his Life, and the many treasured memories he created for his family and friends.
