Obituary of Thomas Gleason Stoufer

Thomas Gleason Stoufer, age 83, of Macks Creek, Missouri, formerly Bolivar, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Gleason was born September 8, 1933 in Macks Creek, Missouri, the son of Charles Edwin and Della Elizabeth (Parrack) Stoufer. Gleason was saved at Lower Prairie Hollow February 16 1959, and was currently a member of Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri. On September 12, 1957, Gleason was united in marriage to Freida Joann Webster in Macks Creek, Missouri, and together they shared nearly 60 years of marriage. Gleason worked briefly for Blair's Cedar in Camdenton and for Orbie Elliotts Auto in Macks Creek before his lifelong career in cattle ranching began, and retired from Roberts Ranch in Bolivar, Missouri, after 47 years of loyal service. Gleason is survived by his wife, Freida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Della Stoufer; his daughter, Sharon Stoufer; his brothers, Earl, Jack, Sherman, Charles, and William; and his sisters, Nelda Sally and Elda Hicks. Services will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Macks Creek, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, January 5, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Parrack Grove Cemetery, Macks Creek, Missouri.
