Obituary of Kathleen Mae Larsen

Kathleen Mae (Kathy) Larsen, age 70, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her home in Lake Ozark. Kathy was born December 21, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Edward and Audrey (Ortwerth) Sutter. Kathy attended grade school at St. Acoysius School in Spanish Lake, Missouri and later attended Corpus Christi High School and UMSL. On April 12, 1991, Kathy was united in marriage to Nick Larsen in St. Charles, Missouri. They shared 25 wonderful years of marriage together. Kathy worked in Administration / Management with the US Army Aviation and Troop Command and retired after 27 years of loyal service. More recently, Kathy worked for 12 years at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was involved in several charitable and community organizations, including volunteer work for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, and was a member of the Newcomers / Longtimers Club. Kathy also served with the Eldon Chamber of Commerce. In her spare time, Kathy enjoyed boating on the lake, snow skiing trips to various ski resorts in the US and Canada, traveling, and playing cards with friends. Kathy is survived by her husband, Nick Larsen; her daughter Cynthia Clark and husband, Todd, of Springfield, Missouri; step-son Mark Larsen, of Jefferson City, Missouri; her brother Dan Sutter of Mayfield, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, August, Mackenzie, Sara, Lauren, and Jack; one great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and cousins and many friends. Services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00-11:00 prior to services at the church. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
