Obituary of Marian Iola Thalman

Marian Iola Thalman, age 98, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach, Missouri. Marian "Grammie" was born September 10, 1918 in Highland, Illinois. She was the daughter of Zeph and Ethel (Malan) Lebegue. On June 17, 1938 in Highland, Illinois, Marian was united in marriage to Alfred H. Thalman who preceded her in death March 6, 2010. They shared over 71 years together as husband and wife. Marian attended the University of Illinois and later retired as cashier from St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, Illinois. Marian was a charter member of Canopy Church in Camdenton. Marian is survived by one daughter, Sandra Janssen and husband, Paul, of Camdenton, Missouri; two granddaughters, Terri Neer and husband, Mark, of Bar Harbor, Maine and Lisa Lee and husband, Christopher, of Germantown Hills, Illinois; five great-grandchildren, Evan Fields, Connor Fields, Nathan Lee, Nicolas Lee, and Alison Lee; other relatives and friends. Marian is preceded in death by her husband Alfred H. Thalman; her parents Zeph and Ethel Lebegue; her brothers, Clyde Lebegue and Cleland Lebegue; and her sister, Gladys Rogier. Locally, the family will receive friends for visitation Monday, January 9, 2017, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. Services will follow at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be Tuesday, January 10, 2017, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois. Graveside Service and interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Canopy Church Building Fund, Camdenton, Missouri.
