Obituary of Johnnetta Kirk Becker

Johnnetta Kirk Becker of Osage Beach Missouri went to be with God and angels on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the age of 93. Johnnetta was born in Okolona, Mississippi on November 1, 1923. She was the daughter of John Tanzy Kirk and Sarah Ann McClendon. Johnetta was united in marriage to Robert Lee Becker on July 12, 1962. She was preceded in death by her mother and her father; her sisters, Jenary and Lizzy Lee Kirk; her brother John Tanzy Jr.; her daughter Lee Nary; and husband. Johnnetta is survived by her granddaughter A'sia; great granddaughter A'sha; and great great grandchildren, Elena, Naima, Tanzy, Shadie, and Anders. Johnetta was loved by everyone. She had a kind word for everyone. She was an incredible woman with a sweet spirit and she embodied strength, kindness, and passion. Johnetta was a beautiful, strong, and inspiring soul. She was loved by so many and gave love to so many and she never knew a stranger. Many people said that she was like a mama to them. Her life was a blessing and her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. "Today I looked into the sky and it was beautiful. I realize it's because you are there. You fly with the Angels now but part of you will always be with us." Services will be held at 9:00 am Friday, January 20, 2017, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. Interment will be at 11:00 am at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Leonard Wood, in Waynesville, Missouri
