Obituary of Pauline Sue Marberry

Pauline Sue Marberry, age 91, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, in Jefferson City, Missouri. Pauline was born April 15, 1925 in Flippin Arkansas. She was the daughter of James Rex and L. Cecile Beaver Wood. Pauline was united in marriage December 20, 1945 to JW Marberry in Flippin, Arkansas. JW preceded her in death August 6, 1994. Pauline is survived by her sons; Jim Marberry and his wife, Marjorie, of Columbia, Missouri and Armand Rosenthal and his wife, Irene of Kingsville, Texas; one daughter Joyce King and her husband Dr. Bruce of Lake Ozark, Missouri; her sister Rexine Johnson of Flippin, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Dr. Kevin Marberry and his wife Jessica, Gwen VanAsselt and husband Bill, Elizabeth Blake and husband Brad, Alison Herron and husband Scott, Adriane Foster and husband Simon and Ashley Luster and husband Anthony; and eighteen great- grandchildren. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her baby brother Charlie Wood. Pauline was a member of Riverview Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible studies for over 50 years. Through the years she sang with the choir and served on several committees. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and shared His love throughout her life. In the 1960's Pauline formed the Marberry Insurance Company which later became Marberry-Quinn Insurance Company. She loved being an insurance agent and believed it was a ministry that helped people. She enjoyed traveling, and her last big trip was a cruise to the Holy Land while in her 80's. Pauline always enjoyed her family and friends. She liked playing cards, gardening, and usually read a book per week. The last year of her life, she lived at Primrose Retirement Home in Jefferson City, Missouri. She had several friends there and had nothing but good comments about her time there. Her family so appreciates her strong faith, devotion, guidance, more than occasional discipline, and always her unconditional love. She will be sorely missed. Services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Riverview Baptist Church in Osage Beach, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00-3:00pm prior to services at the church. Memorials are suggested to Riverview Baptist Church.
