Obituary of Debora Ruth Lucas

Debora Ruth Lucas, age 62, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 4, 2017 , at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. Debora was born August 24, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the daughter of Horace and Ora (McElroy) Carson. Debora lived in Kansas City until relocating to the lake area in 1980 and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years. During her off-time she enjoyed reading, boating, wood crafts and spending time with her family. Deborah was a member of Elks Lodge 2517. Debora was a loving and a caring mother and grandmother to her children and their families. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her daughter, Jennifer Risner and husband, Troy, of Camdenton; five grandchildren, Jaren, Lauren, Tori, Aiden, and Carson; and her mother Ora Carpenter; three brothers, Charles Carson of Georgia, Pat Carson of Kansas City, Kansas, and Steve Carson , of Louisville, Kansas; her sisters, Donna Rush and husband, Bob, of Gardner, Kansas, Deanna Eckert of Cartersville, Georgia, Denise Gaskill and husband, Harold, of Edwardsville, Kansas, Brenda Davis of Kansas City, Kansas, and Linda Hufford and husband, Chris, of Louisville, Kansas; one niece and nine nephews; along with other relatives and friends. Debora was preceded in death by her father, Horace Carson; her sister, Kimberly Clinton; and her step –Dad James (Bud) Carpenter. Per her request no services will be held at this time.
