Obituary of Betty Lee Westhusing

Betty Lee Westhusing, age 82, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away at her home on February 9, 2017. Betty was born August 19, 1934, in Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Paul and Thelma (Williams) Young. She was united in marriage to Edward John Westhusing, who preceded her in death November 27, 2008. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved reading, sewing, fishing and working on crochet. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Thelma Young; her husband, Edward John Westhusing; and son, Edward Lee Westhusing. Betty is survived by three sons; Tony Westhusing and friend Nancy Histed, Paul Westhusing and wife Paula; and John Westhusing and wife Anne; two daughters Cathy Mueller and husband Ed; and Anna Stoltz and husband Alan; nine grandchildren, Nita Buechter, Mike Muller, Brian Stoltz, Anthony Westhusing Jr. , Andrea Westhusing, Kara Sheeley, Kelly Westhusing, Johnathon Westhusing and Nicole Westhusing; along with several great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach. Interment will be at Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Osage Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and may be left at the funeral home.
