Obituary of Jo Ellen Scott

Jo Ellen Scott passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 19, 2017, 10 days after her 88th birthday. She and Bob Scott started the family business, Scotts Concrete, in 1954. She spent most of her life in Camden County and was one of the last babies born in Old Linn Creek. She was devoted to her family and her church. She loved life! Jo Ellen is survived by her daughters, Jane Martin, Jan Amos and husband Bob, Julie Scott and Lisa Fuenfhausen; her grandchildren, Candi Van Asdale and husband Mike, Major Llexandra Landreth, U S Army, Alissa Fuenfhausen, and Scottie and Alison Martin. She was especially proud of her great grandchildren, Sophia Amos White, Lily and Emily Martin and Landon and Cooper Van Asdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeClaire Robert Scott and a grandson, Michael D. Martin. Jo Ellen’s services will be held at Community Christian Church on Wednesday, February 22, at 2:30 pm Visitation will be from 1:00- 2:30 prior to services at the church. The Reverend William Brown will officiate. The family suggests any memorials be given to Community Christian Church.
