Obituary of Dennis Joseph Weber
Dennis Joseph Weber, 69, of Eldon, MO, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, March. 25, 2017, after a short battle with cancer.
Dennis was born on June 26, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, MO. Dennis was preceded in death by his father Joseph Weber and mother Leola (Mecker) Weber Meyer, his stepfather G.L. Meyer and his brothers Robert and James Weber.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Myra Ann Weber, whom he married on July 1, 1967.Surviving are three children; BrianWeber of Lake Ozark, MO, Jennifer Weber of Dallas, TX and Michael Weber of Los Angeles, CA. In addition, Dennis is survived by two grandchildren; Dalton Weber of Naperville, IL and Katie Weber of Dallas, TX, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dennis was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, MO. He was a graduate of Perryville High School where he played football for the Perryville Pirates, and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps shortly thereafter. He served four years as a Marine. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest. As a child, he learned to work on cars from his stepfather, who formed the Meyer Bus Line of Perryville, MO. Dennis used his skillset to become a mechanic and later worked for Mac Tools in Missouri and Illinois as a sales representative.He later worked for Matco Tools as a District Manager. His success in business can be directly attributed to his strong work ethic and his natural mechanical ability. His attention to detail was legendary.
Dennis was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake Ozark, MO. He was an active hunter and fisherman and enjoyed traveling. He also enjoyed designing and building custom homes as a hobby.
A celebration of his life will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake Ozark, MO on Saturday, April 1, 2017.Visitation will be held at 10AM. The memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Ron Lehenbauerat 11AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Kings Kids Academy or Christ the King Building Fund, 1700 Bagnell Dam Blvd., Lake Ozark, MO 65049.
