Daniel Hill

Obituary of Daniel Joseph Hill

Daniel Joseph Hill died peacefully at his home after 65 years of being the interesting person he was, a hard working and quiet living man. He was born May 27, 1951, to Arthur C. Hill and Rosemary S. Jogerst-Hill. His early years were spent in Platteville, Wisconsin. At age nine the family relocated to St. Joseph, Michigan until the last year of high school when he moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas. After school was over he relocated back to Michigan, then traveled the country doing construction. He settled down in Springfield, Missouri where he became the proud father of two lovely girls, Ginger and Toni, and they remained his pride and joy the rest of his life. Later he became a long time Lebanon resident, eventually retiring to the Camdenton area. He was an excellent driver and machine operator and spent his later years operating heavy equipment. When he retired he enjoyed fishing, camping, college football, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He is survived by his daughters, Ginger Clark and Toni Schafer and husband Patrick, all of Lebanon, Missouri. He has five remaining siblings, Michael Hill of Austintown, Ohio, Peter Hill and Christal of Camdenton, Missouri, Thomas Hill of Buffalo, Missouri, Julie Hill of Springfield, Missouri, and Jenifer Hill-Denney and Jason of Springfield, Missouri. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Dylan, Ivy, Samuel, Charles, and Abbigail; and one great-grandson, Axton. He is fondly remembered by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Shadel's Colonial Chapel in Lebanon, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to services
