Tara Smith

Obituary of Tara Lynn Smith

Tara Lynn Smith, daughter of Tom and Jane Wolfe, departed this world peacefully, surrounded by those she loved, on March 25, 2017 at Regional Medical Center-Bayonet Point in Hudson, Florida. She was 46 years young. Tara was an organ donor. She selflessly gave the gift of life, sight, healing, strength, and love. Tara was born on June 29, 1970 to Tom and Jane Wolfe, in Dover, NJ. She moved to Missouri with her family in 1973. Some of her happiest days were those on the family dairy farm. Tara graduated from the Climax Springs School in 1989. Tara was united in marriage to Donald Williams. To this union, Cody Dalton and Hannah Marie were born. Tara had a beautiful, carefree soul. She was full of life and had the most unforgettable laugh. She adored her family and friends. She never met a stranger. She had a passion for animals, especially horses. Tara had a variety of professions, including local nursing home CNA, daycare teacher, and crossing guard with the Pasco County Sheriff's Department. Tara's most recent profession was a caretaker of the Ke'Aloha stables near her home in Florida. It truly was her "dream job." Tara was a loving wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece, neighbor, and friend. Tara was married to Rick Smith on January 19, 2013. They made their home in Greenview, Missouri. In June of 2013 they relocated to New Port Richey, Florida. They quickly made a countless number of friends who were more like family. Tara and Rick were both baptized members of the Salvation Saloon. They were very active in their congregation. They took pride in serving meals to the homeless on a regular basis. They enjoyed visiting the beach, dining at new places, and riding their Harley with their brother, Bob. They shared a once-in-a-lifetime love and were blessed to have found each other. Tara and Rick are survived by one son, Cody Williams and partner Kinsey; one daughter, Hannah Williams; Tara's parents, Tom and Jane Wolfe; four brothers and three sisters-in-law; Robert Smith of New Port Richey, FL, Tom and Rhonda Wolfe, John and Jill Wolfe, Josh and Brooke Wolfe; one sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Jason Cline, all of Climax Springs, Missouri; two grandsons, Ryder and Layton; nine nieces and nephews; two great nephews; a step grandmother, Ruth "Crickett" Wolfe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. They were preceded in death by Rick's parents, Doyle and Mary McClellan, and their grandparents. We encourage all who loved Rick and Tara to Donate Life. A Celebration of Tara and Rick's Lives will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Climax Springs Civic Center in Climax Springs, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to services.
