Obituary of Peggy Ann Clopp
Peggy Ann Clopp, 84, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Colonial Springs Health Care in Buffalo, Missouri.
Peggy was born October 29, 1932 in McDonald County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Reverend Frank and Ruby (Patton) Linton.
On March 30, 1951 in Tunas, Missouri, Peggy was united in marriage to Raymond (Junior) Clopp, who preceded her in death, November 14, 2000. They were married just shy of 50 years at the time of Junior's passing.
Peggy and Junior owned and operated Junior's Market, Junior's Bulk Fertilizer and Camden County Quarries for many years. In addition to their businesses, they owned and operated three farms. Peggy enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting. She loved coon hunting as much as possible and white tail deer hunting as well. Her greatest pride and joy however, was her family and she enjoyed spending her time with them.
Peggy was a loving, devoted wife and helpmate to her husband, and a wonderful caring mother and grandmother to her children and their families. She created many beautiful memories that will be cherished for years to come.
Peggy is survived by her son, Mike Clopp and wife, Linda, of Macks Creek, Missouri; her daughter, Judy Taylor and husband, Larry, of Macks Creek, Missouri; her brother Don Linton of Jacksonville, Florida; her sister, Ruth Wilkerson of Urbana, Missouri; three grandchildren, Chad Taylor and Scotti, Erin Burtis and husband, Eric, and Cecily Wilkinson and husband, Mike; eight great-grandchildren, Bailey, Brianna, Anthony, Bentley, Bryce, Lauren, Charlie, Ava, and Harper; along with several other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Junior, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, J.R. Linton; one sister Vera Cain; and one great-grandson, Dylan.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 19, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri.
Services will be Thursday, April 20, at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Macks Creek, Missouri.
Memorial donations are suggested to Macks Creek Senior Center.
