Obituary of Philip Donald Carpenter

Philip Donald Carpenter, 63, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. He was born the son of Edward and Doris (Cleveland) Carpenter on December 22, 1953, in East St Louis, Illinois. On July 7, 1983, in Plano, Texas, Philip was united in marriage to Lisa Distasi. Philip served in Vietnam as an aerospace medical technician as well as a certified search and rescue airman. Later in life, he was a talented professional photographer. Philip is survived by his wife Lisa of 34 years; his daughters, Angela Carpenter and Nicole Carpenter; and three grandchildren; his mother, Doris Carpenter and two siblings. He was preceded in death by his father; his sister, Leslie Schroba; and his son, Michael Anthony Carpenter. Philip was a compassionate and loving husband, father, grandfather and son. Military Honors will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2017, 1:00 pm at Springfield Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
