Obituary of Robert Jay Vasey

Robert Jay Vasey,  age 81, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Sunday,  April 23, 2017 in Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. 

Robert was born August 24, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois.  He was the son of Alfred and Florence (Kuhl) Vasey. 

On June 28, 1958, Robert  was united in marriage in Oak Park, Illinois,  to Phyllis McNeill. Together they shared nearly 59 years of marriage at the time of his death. 

Robert worked as a pipe fitter for Honeywell Corporation.  He enjoyed days on the lake boating and swimming and loved to travel on old steam engine trains. Robert was a member of the Camdenton Moose Lodge. 

Robert is survived by his wife, Phyllis;  two children, Glynis Woods and husband, Jerry, of Camdenton, Missouri and Alison Webster and husband, Scott, of South Elgin, Illinois; five  grandchildren; one brother, Tom Vasey and  wife, Judy, of Downers Grove , Illinois;  and one sister Judy Ikerd and husband, Harold, of Warsaw, Illinois. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Florence Vasey. 

A Celebration of Robert's Life  will be held Friday,  May 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Camdenton Moose Lodge.   Visitation will be from 1:00 -2:00 pm prior to services.
