Obituary of Luzia Henry

Luzia Henry, 87, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at her home in Jefferson City. 

Luzia was born January 4, 1930 in Patchkau, Germany, the daughter of Joseph and Hedwig (Madry) Beck. 

In 1953, Luzia was united in marriage to Henry Bator in Lancaster, New York.  She was later married in 1966,  to Robert Henry, Jr. in Germany. 

She is survived by her sons, Roy Beck and wife, Goody, of Okeechobee, Florida, and Robert Henry III and wife, Susan, of Branson, Missouri; her daughter, Christina McDowell and husband, Rich, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; her brother Eberhard Beck of New Lexington, Ohio; her sister Hildegard Habler of Muhldorf, Germany; and fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald Bator, and her sister, Annelies Beyer. 

Luzia had worked in a factory in her earlier years.  More recently she was employed with New Horizon in Jefferson City for over 27 years.   She was a hard worker, but always had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a joke to share.  She enjoyed knitting and crochet work in her spare time.  

Luzia was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Jefferson City, Missouri. 

Services will be held Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:30-2:00 pm at the funeral home. 

Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Kaiser, Missouri
