Obituary of Faith E. White

Faith E. White, age 78, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away at her home in Camdenton on Thursday, May 4, 2017.

Faith was born April 25, 1939 in Richland, Missouri.  She was the daughter of Delton and Ruby (Head) Hooker.

On April 5, 1958 in Camdenton, Missouri, Faith was united in marriage to Carl White who preceded her in death May 12, 2007.  Together they shared over 49 years of marriage at the time of his death.

Faith is survived by her sons, Jonny White, Kurt White and wife, Kelly; her daughters, Carla Fiene and husband, Gary, and Janice McDowell and husband, Dennis, all of Camdenton, Missouri; her brother, Garlen Duane “Buck” Hooker of Richland, Missouri, and sister, Carol Anderson and husband, Wayne, of Richland, Missouri; six grandchildren, Shannon Christine Jones, Jason Aaron Meads, Stacie Elizabeth Jones, Tiffany Anne Barklage, Sammy J. White, and Kaylin Delaine White; step-grandchildren, Holly Gaddy, Brian Fiene, and Tiffanie McDowell; along with a host of other relatives and many friends.

Faith was preceded in death by her parents Delton and Ruby Hooker; her husband Carl White,  brothers Delton Daniel “Dee” Hooker, and Clifton Leonard “Sonny” Hooker; granddaughter Sarah Anne Meads and great granddaughter Skyler K Jones.

Faith worked as secretary for the Camden County Circuit Court in Camdenton for many years before retiring.  She enjoyed her days gardening and reading and loved spending time outdoors fishing and hunting for mushrooms and arrowheads. Faith was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed watching her favorite drivers competing on the race track.   Her greatest joy in life was her family and she loved spending time with them.

Faith was a loving and devoted wife, and a caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her children and their families.  She helped create many beautiful memories for them to cherish for years to come.

A Celebration of Faith’s Life will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at Decaturville Missionary Baptist Church, Decaturville, Missouri.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to services at the church.

Private family interment will be at Roach Cemetery in Roach, Missouri.

Memorial donations are suggested to The American Cancer Society or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
