Obituary of Ralph William McKinzie, Jr.

Ralph William McKinzie Jr., age 87, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at his residence in Osage Beach. 

Ralph was born March 17, 1930 in Walla Walla, Washington.  He was the son of Ralph and Edith (Brown) McKinzie, Sr. 

Ralph served our country proudly, enlisting in the United States Army in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1958. 

On December 5, 1952 in Lawton, Oklahoma, Ralph was united in marriage to Ruby Jones. They were married over 64 years at the time of his death. 

Ralph is survived by his wife Ruby of the home;  two sons, Ralph McKinzie III and his wife, Sandy, of Laurel, Mississippi, and Mike McKinzie and his wife Pam, of Saudi Arabia;  one daughter, Lisa McKinzie of Lake Ozark, Missouri; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother. 

Ralph worked for and retired from Halliburton as a General Manager in Saudi Arabia.  He enjoyed days he could play golf, as well as spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.  He loved all sports in general and enjoyed watching NASCAR races.  Ralph loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed taking Ruby out for dinner and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Ralph was a loving and devoted husband, and a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his children and their families.  

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. 

Services will be held at 10:00 am ,  Monday, May 8,  at the funeral home. Military Honors will be held by Zack Wheat Post 624 of Sunrise Beach, Missouri. 

Memorial donations are suggested to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital,  3100 SW 62nd Ave, Miami, Florida.
