Anne Massey, 72,  of Osage Beach Missouri, formerly of Camdenton, departed this life on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Ozark Care and Rehabilitation Center, Osage Beach, Missouri.

Anne was born December 10, 1942 in Bethany, Missouri, the oldest daughter of Fred Pittman and Dorothy Pittman.

She was preceded in death by her father Fred Pittman and her mother Dorothy Pittman (Casto); three nieces Sherri Scott, Nancy Musgrave and Vicki Hand; one nephew Alan Scott; and her daughter-in- law Carla Dukes.  She was the beloved mother of John Dukes and Carla Thompson.

She is survived by her son John Dukes of Laurie Missouri; her daughter Carla Thompson of Bath New York; two sisters Patty Holloway of Camdenton Missouri and Nancy Clymer of Fairfield Illinois; one brother John Pittman of Blue Springs Missouri; four Grandchildren Zach Dukes, Thomas Dukes, Allison Pittman and Jonathan Pino;  two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Anne graduated high school from South Sumter High in Bushnell Florida. She enjoyed a career of caregiver and loved her job. She loved helping others and would have given her last dime to anyone that needed it. She lived to  help others, and always put others before herself. Her faith in God was very strong and she had read the Bible front to back five times. She was a strong woman who fought for 3 years. She enjoyed reading which is a passion she passed down to both of her children. She also loved working in her garden and she enjoyed watching mystery shows as well as her soap opera, The Young and the Restless, which is a passion she shared with her daughter. However, what was more important to her then anything, were her children. She was a wonderful and loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Special thanks to Ozark Care Center in Osage Beach Missouri and to Regional Hospice for taking such good care of Anne and keeping her comfortable in her final days. It is greatly appreciated by the entire family.

There will be no services per her wishes. The family is having a dinner to celebrate her life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the family.
