Obituary of Ronald Edward Heinemann

Ronald Edward Heinemann (Eddie), son of Ronald and Joyce Heinemann, was born November 8, 1959, in Kirkwood, Missouri. He departed this life June 5, 2017, in Osage Beach, Missouri. At the age of 57 years 6 months 28 days.

He is preceded in death by his parents and both sets of grandparents and all but one set of Aunts and Uncles on each side of the family.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy and brother, Kevin as well as 2 nieces and a nephew, several cousins, and a few friends and church family.

Born with cerebral palsy that effected his hips and legs, he was very strong willed and tried to not let it hold him back from what he wanted to do. He fought for every bit of independence he could right up to the point he just couldn’t fight anymore. He graduated from Valley Park High School and went on to study electronics at the Basic Institute of Technology in St. Louis. After completing his studies at BIT he went on to work for Western Electric as an electronic technician.  Working mostly on the circuit boards used in the phones of the time.  When the Bell Monopolies were broken up, Western Electric was closed and Eddie went on to work with his father in the vending business here at the Lake of the Ozarks.  He mainly managed the video arcade’s at the Stone Crest Mall and Lake Ozark’s Howard Johnson in the late 80’s and early 90’s. He managed to continue walking on his own until the late 90’s when he finally gave into safety and concerns of family and started using a wheelchair. He retired from working at that time as well. His health remained good until about 5 years ago when age and the palsy started to take their toll.  He lived at home with family until June of 2015 when it was decided he needed a little more help with day to day activities and tried his best to keep the staff at Windsor Estates in Camdenton on their toes.  He was often trying to race the aides down the hall and seeing how fast he could put a puzzle together before the pieces started to “disappear”.  He will be missed as he didn’t think he touched many lives, but he did.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Laughlin Cemetery in Camdenton, Missouri.
