Obituary of Linda Jean Downing

Linda Jean Downing, 59, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her home in Macks Creek, Missouri. 

Linda was born May 19, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of  Wilbert and Althita (Farris) Moeser.

 On October 5, 1999, in Roach, Missouri, Linda was united in marriage to Chester W. (CW) Downing.  They had shared over 19 years of marriage at the time of her death.

 Linda was a loving wife and helpmate to her husband, and a caring mother and grandmother to her children and their families.   Linda enjoyed playing Bingo and taking care of her cats and dogs.  More than anything,  Linda enjoyed her role as homemaker and especially loved being a grandmother.  She helped create many wonderful memories for her family to cherish for years to come. 

 Linda is survived by her husband CW Downing of Macks Creek, Missouri; her sons, Jeremy Downing of Macks Creek, Missouri, Jimmy Lee Downing and wife, Krissy, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Justin Downing of Hermitage, Missouri; her brothers,  William Moeser (Debbie),David Moeser (Tina), and Carl Moeser; her sisters, Doris Chernaskey (John), Ruth Eschelbach, Lisa Schnieders, and Brenda Stephens;   and seven grandchildren;  along with other relatives and friends.

 Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Althita Moeser and one sister, Alice Moeser.

 Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri.

 Services will be at 2:00 pm,  Thursday, June 22, at  the funeral home.

 Interment will follow at Macks Creek Cemetery in Macks Creek, Missouri.
