Obituary of Tommy S. White
Tommy S. White, age 60, departed this life Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Tommy was born November 1, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Tommy and Yvonne (Spotson) White.
Tommy served his country proudly in the United States Marines.
On March 4, 1988 in Horsehead, New York, Tommy was united in marriage to Jewel Cunningham. They shared over 29 years of marriage together at the time of his death.
Tommy is survived by his wife Jewel of the home; his son, Levine Silas White Cunningham of Branson, Missouri; his daughter Tzeitel White of Branson, Missouri; two sisters, Samia Lane of Miami, Florida and Delores Golden of Sun City, California; and one granddaughter, Sirri; along with other relatives and friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Tommy and Yvonne White; and one brother, Leonard.
Tommy was a professional musician, whose talent landed him a job playing bass for the Commodor's early in his career. After the Commodor's, Tommy continued to play for various groups, while honing his other musical abilities, where finally before his health became a factor, he played the role of Charlie Pride in Branson for several years. Aside from music, Tommy enjoyed building model airplanes and rockets, gardening, and spending time outdoors walking trails. More than anything, Tommy loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He especially loved watching movies with Jewel.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 23, 2017 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Missouri.
