Obituary of Kurtis William Browne

Kurtis William Browne, 53, of Rocky Mount, MO, following a major heart attack on June 12th, passed away at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, MO on Sunday, June 18, 2017.

Kurt was born on September 12, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in Sterling Heights, MI and later lived in Lansing, MI as well as Jefferson City, MO.

He is survived by his loving companion of 3 years, Kimberlee Stewart; his father, William S. Browne and wife Gay; stepbrothers: Robert, Randall  and Ryan.

Kurt was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Sue Sherman, and brother, David T. Browne.

His country is grateful for his military service with the US Army in Germany as a Hawk Missile Specialist.  His varied training and education enabled him to enjoy many diverse careers as a concrete finisher and stone mason, and jet engine mechanic.  He was the owner- operator of H20 charters, and  recently began operating a fish farm in Rocky Mount, MO.

Memorial services will be held at a later date to be determined.

Capt. Kurt will be remembered for his outgoing, cheerful personality.  Even in death, his generosity as an organ donor saved the lives of 2 people .
