Obituary of Dorothy A. Davis

Dorothy “Sam” A. Davis, age 87, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at her home in Macks Creek. 

Dorothy was born February 6, 1930 in Nevada, Missouri. She was the daughter of Alex and Cecilla (Box) Sandbothe.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Cleo Davis in 1948. They shared over forty-six years of marriage together at the time of his death.

Dorothy enjoyed painting, traveling and making crafts for Turkey Day at St. Anthony’s Catholic church where she was a member. Dorothy loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her nephew’s granddaughters.

Dorothy is survived by her nephews; one brother Leonard and wife Betty of Boonville, Missouri; along with several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cleo, and one brother Victor.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00 am at St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Camdenton, Missouri.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:00 -10:00 am prior to services at the church.

Interment will be at Moore Cemetery in Nevada, Missouri.
