Obituary of Sally Jo (Dunger)Hall
Sally Jo (Dunger) Hall, age 57, of Lake Ozark, MO was called to her heavenly home on Friday, September 8, 2017.
Sally was born on December 5, 1959 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Albert and Josephine (Barbareck) Dunger. Sally was given new life from our gracious Lord through the waters of Holy Baptism on January 17, 1960 at Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, MO. She attended both grade school and high school in Scott City, MO. In her early teens Sally publicly affirmed the vows and promises made by her parents and sponsors on May 26, 1974 through the rite of Confirmation, at Eisleben Lutheran Church. Sally then completed her Associates Degree at Southeast Missouri State University, where she met her first husband Greg. They were married January 1, 1983 and he was called home to the Lord 11 years later.
Sally spent many years working for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod campus ministry outreach, working to spread the Lord’s word. She was a homemaker and loving mother and took great joy in her grandchildren. She was a dedicated and loved member of the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake Ozark, MO. Sally married Jeffery Hall August 10, 2013, who brought much happiness, joy and love to her life.
Sally is survived by her husband; Jeffery Hall, of Lake Ozark, MO; her son, Matthew (Elyse) Koester of Festus, MO; two step-children Camille and Cameron Hall; two grandchildren, Gregory and Lorelei Koester; three brothers and a sister, James (Olivia) Dunger of Lithia, FL, Gary Dunger of Osborn, MO, Jerry (Phyllis) Dunger of White Hall, AR, and Ruth (Rick) Reeves of Littleton, CO; along with many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Josephine Dunger and her first husband Gregory Koester.
Services will be held on Sept. 13th at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake Ozark, MO. Visitation is 12-1 p.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Immediately following there will be a short committal service at Lake Memorial Gardens in Osage Beach, MO. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the LCMS Disaster Relief Fund.
