Obituary of Frank Henningsen

Frank Henningsen, age 76, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 10th, 2017 at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in Columbia, Missouri.

Frank was born January 24, 1941 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Frank Carl Sr. and Sylvia (Meyers) Henningsen.

Frank had a distinguished 35 year career in engineering in the F-15 program along with the research and development program, Phantom Works at McDonnell Douglas. From a young age, Frank had a hard working nature; from running a paper route in elementary school to designing and assisting in building his retirement home on the lake. Frank was instrumental in turning a warehouse into a worship space and helping his family and friends in countless home improvement projects. Frank was always generous with his talents, time, wit, and humor. Frank was a loving and devoted husband, brother, father, and grandfather.

Frank is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Hitt) Henningsen: sons Michael Henningsen and David Henningsen, daughter Laura (Kevin) Kincade; sisters Janice Henningsen, and Linda Gnagy and grandchildren Andrew Henningsen, Matthew Henningsen, Sydney Henningsen, Hayden Henningsen, Shelby Henningsen, Christian Kincade, Lela “Frankie” Kincade and Charlotte Kincade. He also has loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.

Frank was a member of the Faithbridge United Methodist Church community in Lake Ozark. Frank was preceded in death by his mother and father, Frank Sr. and Sylvia Henningsen.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 23rd with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. and service at 11:30 at Faithbridge United Methodist Church in Lake Ozark.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faithbridge United Methodist Church, American Cancer Society or Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
