Obituary of Wilma Jean Hawken

Wilma Jean  “Billie” Hawken , age 80  of Linn Creek, Missouri , went to be with the Lord on Sept 16, 2017 at Camdenton Windsor Estates, Camdenton ,MO.

She was born March 6, 1937, in Montreal MO the daughter of Arthur and Monta (Jones) Millstead.  She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Rita Johnson.

On April 15, 1972 in Camdenton Missouri she was united in marriage to Kenneth Eugene Hawken.  The union had no children.

She was a graduate of Camdenton High School class of 1954.  She began a career in banking and served for several years as Cashier at the Bank of the Lake of the Ozarks.  After their marriage they made their home in Fairbanks Alaska.  She continued working in the banking industry.  She served as Escrow Supervisor and gold vault custodian at First National Bank of Fairbanks.  Wilma was with Dinali State Bank when she retired.  Wilma and Kenneth maintained a home in Osage Beach and returned to it after their retirement in 2000.

Wilma loved animals especially her Pomeranian “Missie”.  She was a member of New Home Baptist Church.  Billie was a loving and caring wife. She was always ready to lend a hand when she saw a need.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to New Home Baptist Church, Camdenton School Foundation or Hospice Compassus.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 19, at Hedges Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, MO.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am Sept 19, at the Funeral Home..

Burial will be held at Buffalo Prairie Cemetery, Montreal, MO.
