Obituary of Carl F. Bolz
Carl F. Bolz, age 81, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri.
Carl was born March 15, 1936, in Oregon, Missouri. He was the son of Fred and Rose (Egger) Bolz.
On August 23, 1958, Carl was joined in marriage to Helen Joanne Fleek in Salina, Kansas. They shared 57 years of marriage at the time of her death.
Carl worked as an insurance adjuster and marine surveyor for many years. He was a member of the Camdenton United Methodist Church and served on the board. He was in the Army Reserves and was involved in the creation of the marine survey industry.He played professional baseball for the St. Joseph Mustangs, a minor league team. Carl loved making people smile and was well known for his jokes. He cared about people and was known for his kind heart, finding the best in others, and his “never give up” attitude. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and spending time on his farm. One of his greatest joys was loving and spending time with his grandchildren.
Carl is survived by son Bradly Bolz and wife Christine of Camdenton, Missouri; son Brian Bolz and wife Molly of Camdenton, Missouri; daughter Brenda Dahlhoff and husband David of Warrensburg, Missouri; brother Albert Bolz of Lawrence, Kansas; 9 grandchildren, Brandon Hargrave and wife Elizabeth, Denton Hargrave and wife Michelle, Brittany Bolz, Hope Dahlhoff, Jenna Dahlhoff, Joshua Dahlhoff, Tessa Joseph and husband Hansen, Nick Dahlhoff, Justin Dahlhoff and wife Alyssa; and 3 great grandchildren, Eliza, Levi and Evelyn; along with many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife Helen Joanne Bolz, his parents Fred and Rose Bolz, sister Lucille Sublette, and daughter Susan Bolz.
Services will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Camdenton United Methodist Church, Camdenton, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to services at the church.
Graveside Service and Interment will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, October 1, at Belmont Cemetery in Wathena, Kansas.
