Obituary of Carmen Beatrice Bailey

Carmen Beatrice Bailey, age 66, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at her home in Camdenton.

Carmen was born October 19, 1950 in Manchester, Jamaica. She was the daughter of Alton and Inez (Taylor) Henry.

Carmen was a dedicated homemaker and a loving mother to 7 children. She loved her Lord and Master Jesus Christ, more than anything and her Church family meant everything to her. Carmen enjoyed singing, listening to gospel music and doing cross word puzzles. She greatly enjoyed being with her family. Even though miles separated them, she loved them all dearly. Carmen had a great sense of humor and her family laughlingly recalls,  "In her spare time, Carmen yelled at Shaniece trying to get her up. It didn’t do much good, but she tried."

Carmen is survived by her children, Leon Bailey of Jamaica, Serena Bailey of Camdenton, Missouri,  Veron Bailey and wife Sherane of Jamaica, Fabion Bailey of Jamaica, Kimone Bailey of Jamaica, Ramone Bailey of Jamaica, and Shanice Bailey of Camdenton, Missouri; along with 12 grandchildren and many friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation prior to service from 1:30-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Hedges Cemetery in Camdenton.
