Obituary of Marvin Eugene Born

Marvin Eugene Born, age 83, of Montreal, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at his home.

Marvin was born October 5, 1934 in North Judson, Indiana. He was the son of the late Otto and Evelyn Born.

On June 23, 1956, Marvin was united in marriage to Josephine Murphy at United Methodist Church in North Judson, Indiana. They celebrated 61 years of marriage together at the time of his death.

He worked for State Farm Insurance in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Sunrise Beach, Missouri in 1996. Marvin and Josephine were avid boaters on the Mississippi River. He enjoyed wood working in his shop. Many happy hours were also spent on their deck with his lake friends. Marvin cherished time with his 3 sons and his grandchildren.

Marvin is survived by his wife Josephine of Montreal, Missouri; his 3 children, Dennis Born of Montreal, Missouri, Rick Born and wife Bonnie of O’Fallon, Missouri, and Craig Born and wife Jamie of Linn Creek, Missouri; his 8 grandchildren, Dylan, Dyani, Zachary, Nicole, Steven, Aaron (Heather), Rene’ (Jamie) and Robert; his 8 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

The family will welcome friends and relatives for visitation on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Military Honors will follow.
