Obituary of Marvin Capps

Marvin Capps, age 89, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Marvin was born September 8, 1928 in Camdenton, Missouri. He was the son of Fernando and Octavia (Mann) Capps.

Marvin served his country proudly in the United States Army.  

On April 22, 1953 in Sedalia, Missouri, Marvin was joined in marriage to Mary K. Sampsel, who preceded him in death July 29, 2013.  They had shared over 59 years together at the time of her death.

After living away from home for several years, Marvin and his wife, Mary, relocated to Camdenton in 1972.  Marvin enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.  He also loved visiting with his friends at the local restaurants.

Marvin is survived by his brother Lewis Capps of Camdenton, Missouri; his sister Alveritta Leap of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and friends.

Aside from his wife Mary,  he was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and six sisters.

Graveside Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, November 4 at Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery, Camdenton, Missouri.
