Obituary of John Joseph Bunk Jr.

John Joseph Bunk Jr., age 83, of Climax Springs, Missouri departed this life on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Osage Beach, Missouri.

John was born on January 28, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of John Sr. and Myrtle (Ortell) Bunk.

On May 4, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri, John was united in marriage to Marilyn Rita Gaylord.

He served his country proudly in the United States Army and the National Guard.

John worked as a carpenter in St. Louis, Missouri for many years. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union for 60 years.

He is survived by his two children, Michael Bunk and wife Carole of Loveland, Ohio and Laura Eddington of Villa Ridge, Missouri; granddaughter Emily Ann Eddington and grandson Alex Bunk. He was also a wonderful brother to Anna May and a good friend to many.

Service will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Snows Church in Climax Springs, Missouri. Inurnment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, at a later date.
