Obituary of Doris Warren

Doris "Jean" Warren, age 88, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.

Jean was born December 10, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Harry and Thelma (Woodmansee) Hogan.

On June 6, 1948 in Joplin, Missouri, Jean was united in marriage to Reverend Archie Warren who preceded her in death January 30, 2001.  They had shared over 52 years together as husband and wife at the time of Archie's death.

Jean was a loving and devoted wife and helpmate to her husband Archie, working alongside him as he served as pastor in several churches throughout Missouri.  She enjoyed her role as homemaker and was a caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her children and their families.  She enjoyed spending days outdoors gardening and tending to her flowers and was especially fond of orchids and violets.  She also enjoyed scrapbooking and music and loved singing and playing piano.  Jean had several collections through the years,  including milk glass, rocking horses, lambs, snowmen, decorative watering cans, and birds. But among all these things, her greatest joy in life was her family.

Jean was a former member of Empire Baptist Church, Joplin, Pine Street Baptist Church, Nevada, First Baptist Church, Versailles, First Baptist Church, Carrollton, Parkade Baptist Church, Columbia,  and was currently a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Her family will miss her beyond words, but rejoice in knowing that she is with her Lord in Heaven.

Jean is survived by her children, David Warren and wife, Carol, of Kansas City, Missouri, Steve Warren and wife, Cindi, of Camdenton, Missouri, Kathy Besancenez and husband, Jim, of Camdenton, Missouri, Carol Lindsay and husband, Kem, of Gastonia, North Carolina, Susan Imboden and husband, Mike, of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Tim Warren and wife, Jill, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; one brother, Howard Hogan and wife, Virginia, of Joplin, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Thelma Hogan and her husband Archie.
