Obituary of Eugene G. Harrison, Jr

Eugene G. Harrison, Jr, age 72, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Eugene, known as "Gene" to his family and friends, was born July 12, 1945 in Tampa Florida. He was the son of Eugene G. Harrison, Sr and Heloyce (Surrency) Harrison.

On June 22, 1991 in Laguna Niguel, California, Gene was married to Lorraine Ann Chaperlo.

Gene served his country proudly as a helicopter pilot with the United States Marine Corps. His military career spanned the course of 21 years where he earned the rank of Major.  His second career of 14 years was as a director at FHP and Pacificare Healthcare in Orange County, California.  After retirement, he remained physically active and enjoyed spending time outdoors, golfing, fishing and playing tennis. He loved his family more than anything, and enjoyed spending time with them.

Gene was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

Gene is survived by his wife Lorraine; his son, Brett Harrison and wife, Alissa, of San Francisco, California; his daughters, Laura Penner of Vinita, Oklahoma and Julie Dube' of Lake Ozark, Missouri;  six grandchildren, Jayson Osborne, Danielle Wycoff, Julianne Wycoff, Austin Dube', Cassidy Dube' and Gene Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene G. Harrison Sr and Heloyce Harrison.

Services will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:00-11:00 am prior to services at the church.
