I was one of the OATS drivers that was blessed to have taken Helen to doctor appointments and grocery shopping. She was such a lovely lady and was always smiling. I am from Eldon, Missouri and we often had conversations about Eldon, from the 50's, including all the business where she used to shop. The lake area did not have many business at that time and she had to drive to Eldon for shopping at the Bear Market, Ann Lee's, Reeds Store, Ben Franklin, Western Auto, and others. We also talked about gardening and her love for flowers. She will be greatly missed by the OATS family.

Hi Marsha, Thank You for sharing such a Loving Memorial of your Mom. I graduated from School of the Osage in 1966.You may also remember my brothers Chuck and Rodney.(Rodney still resides @ Lake Ozark. Ironically, we lost our Dad Charles Jansen in 2013,where he had joined my mother in the nursing home July 2012. Viola and Charles were married for 68 years and were very good friends of your Mom andDad. I took Mom and Dad to revisit friends @ Lake Ozark and I am sure we visited your parents in 2010. I know your Mom and mine were devout Our lady of the Lake members and it was heartwarming to read of the support your parents (and mine also) received and gave to this parish. Today as you remember your Mom there @ her funeral,know that ALL those memories of her are All about the Life,LOVE and Laughter that Our Lady of the Lake provided not only to our parents but the same gift to us as their children. I loved that little chapel down the hill. I know your Mom is resting in the Peace and LOVE of Christ.

Marsha, you and I never had the opportunity to meet, but I was your mothers Occupational Therapist at Lakeside. We made a special connection as she looks exactly like Grandmother!! She was such a delightful person as her and I prayed many times for you with her! She loves you very much!! I am so glad I had the opportunity to get to know her and enjoyed my time with her! I am glad she was my friend. I have know her my whole life as when we moved to the lake in 1969, we rented a house from Frank and Helen. I loved hearing the stories of how the lake has changed and i will truly miss her smile. Rest in Peace, dear friend.

Marsha: words can’t express the grief and sorrow I feel for you in your loss. Helen was loved by all of us. She was a second Mom to Sandy and I in Arrowhead. I will always remember her infectious laugh and also her expression when we were doing something that exasperated her! But she was always loving, gentle and kind. She loved you and your Daddy above all else. We can only believe that we will all be together again. Until then the memories will have to serve to comfort us. Love you dear friend.
