Obituary of Olive Marie Taylor

Olive Marie Taylor, age 91, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Hermitage Care Center in Hermitage, Missouri.

Olive was born May 7, 1926 in Tunas, Missouri. She was the daughter of Joseph and Edna (Hendrix) Jackson.

On October 3, 1945 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Olive was married to Johnny Taylor who preceded her in death November 29, 2003.  They had shared 58 years together as husband and wife at the time of Johnny’s death.

Olive was a loving and devoted wife and helpmate to her husband Johnny, and a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother to her children and their families. Olive enjoyed spending days outdoors fishing on the Big Niangua with her family and spending time with friends. Olive created many beautiful memories for her family to cherish for a lifetime. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.

Olive was a member of Branch Assembly of God Church in Branch, Missouri.

Olive is survived by her sons Billy Taylor and wife, Joyce and Larry Taylor and wife Judy, all of Macks Creek, Missouri; her daughter Paula Kay Robinson of Lucedale, Mississippi; her brother Arlie Jackson and wife, Wanda, of Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brian West, Tracy Willis, Aaron Taylor, Amber Shofner, Chad Taylor, and Tara Mashburn; eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; along with several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Edna Jackson; her husband Johnny Taylor; her brother Lester; and her sisters, Myrtle Swaningan, Bethel Hodges, and Pearl Willis.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, in Macks Creek, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, January 26 at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at AB Cemetery in Celt, Missouri.
