Obituary of Delores L. Wood

Delores L. Wood, age 65, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Delores was born November 13, 1952 in Jefferson City, Missouri.  She was the daughter of Charles and Lorene (Walker) Bess.

Delores worked at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach following the closing of KFC where she was manager.  In her spare time she enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and bowling.

Delores was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her children and their families.

Delores is survived by her sons Danny Wood and wife, Barbara, of Lake Ozark, Missouri and Darrick Wood and wife, Brandie, of Joplin, Missouri; her daughter Donna Crabtree and husband, Perry, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; her brother, Roger Bess of Blanchard, Iowa; her sister Penny Lower and husband, Michael, of Linn Creek, Missouri; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; along with several other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Lorene Bess; and her brothers Danny, Chuck and Douglas.

Services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from 1:00-3:00 prior to services at the funeral home.
