Obituary of Daniel Wayne Stoller
Daniel Wayne Stoller, age 58, of Osage Beach, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at his home.
Daniel was born on June 8, 1959 in Peoria, Illinois. He was the son of Russell Stoller and Ancilla Klein.
Daniel grew up and graduated from Bloomington high school in 1977. He began his career at Union Camp developing mechanical and maintenance skills. He was employed there until the company’s closing in 1995. He then utilized his skills at State Farm until retirement in 2014. He was fondly known at State Farm as the ‘Tool Man’. He continued his education at Heartland Community College as his schedule allowed.
Dan moved to Lake of the Ozarks following retirement from State Farm. In 2016, he continued to use his maintenance skills working for the city of Osage Beach.
Daniel enjoyed sports and was a huge fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame. He played on and coached several softball teams. He loved all sports, both playing and volunteering for organized events such as the State Farm Classic. Dan was an avid cyclist often completing 25 to 150 miles in a single ride. He also loved spending time fishing especially in his retirement years where he was able to enjoy the company of his brother Greg and beloved dog Mia. Dan was a perfectionist in all that he did and was especially proud of the work he was doing on his landscaping and remodeling projects at home. He especially had a green thumb for working a garden where he enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor. Dan genuinely loved his family and friends and kept a special place in his heart for his Labrador Mia whom was his constant companion. Daniel is survived by his mother Ancilla Sapp of Osage Beach, his brothers Gregory Paul Massey and wife Rachel of Osage Beach, Missouri and Eric Stoller of Costa Mesa, California; his sisters Jeanne L.
