Obituary of Bettie Jean Humphrey

Bettie Jean Humphrey, age 69, of Eldon Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.     

She was born on March 12, 1948 in Niangua, Missouri. She was the daughter of Calvin and Alice Dudley and are now reunited together in heaven. In 1951 the family moved to Camdenton, Missouri.

She married the love of her life when she said I do to Harold Humphrey on March 13, 1972. They shared 47 wonderful years together enjoying countless adventures. They took the family on many trips to Colorado camping and loved the outdoors. She was an avid hunter and fisherman and always seemed to catch the most and the biggest fish. One of her favorite pastimes in the spring was to look for mushrooms and always found them growing in her secret spot. She was an amazing cook and generously made twice the food needed for her guests. She loved to get her hair and nails done whenever she could and loved to go shopping for new clothes.   

Bettie is survived by her husband Harold Humphrey of Eldon, Missouri. She is also survived by three sons, Brian Humphrey and wife Lisa of Eldon, Sean Anderson and wife Kellie of Sedalia, and Eric Anderson and wife Cindy of Eldon. She was also proud to have 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.     

Bettie was also the loving sister to 8 siblings. She is survived by Donna Neftzger and husband Jonnie of Camdenton Missouri, Connie Miller and husband Charles of Saint Elizabeth, Missouri, Dee Radford and husband Michael of Licking, Missouri, and Cindy Mclean and husband Dan of Alabama. She was preceded in death by two sisters Brenda McDaniel and Joan McMillin and two brothers Karl Wayne and Don Dudley.     

There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, March 8, 2018 At the Eldon Country Club, 35 Golf Course Rd. Eldon, Missouri 65026 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Please come and enjoy some family time and reflect on the great memories we all have of this sweet wonderful lady.
