Obituary of Margaret "Jane" Hering

Margaret "Jane" Hering, 90 of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Osage Beach Health Care Center.

Jane was born February 1, 1928 in Huntland, Tennessee to Charles Clinton Pogue and Eunice Catherine Walker Pogue. In 1948 she married Walter Ewell Scott and then married Virgil K. Hering in 1975.

Jane worked various retail positions including several years at the Navy Exchanges. In 1972 she attended LPN school, graduated in 1973 and worked as an LPN at Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield, Iowa for many years. She loved painting and gardening and kept an "immaculate" household. She loved collecting antiques including glass wares. She enjoyed shopping and was always searching for the "perfect" pair of shoes. She also enjoyed going to garage sales and thrift stores. She also loved cooking and was an excellent baker and cook.

Jane is survived by her loving children James Craig Scott (Vhicky Scott) of Osage Beach, Missouri, Max R. Hering (Rita Hering) of Altoona, Iowa, Vickie J. Cline of Gainesville, Texas, son in law Dan Kinsinger of Leesville, Louisiana. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Inez Holder, Kate Couch, and Clara Cox, brother Charles E. Pogue, daughters Kathy Scott-Hermann and Connie K. Kinsinger.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends from 1:00-3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Additional services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 26, at Burlington Memorial Park in Burlington, Iowa.
